My Philosophy

Financial planning isn't just about money. It's about helping people make confident decisions. If you've spent decades building a successful career, raising a family, saving diligently, and making responsible financial decisions, you may find yourself asking a different set of questions today. Can I retire when I want to? Will I have enough? Am I paying more in taxes than I need to? How do I generate income without taking unnecessary risk? Will my spouse and family be financially secure if something happens to me?  If those questions sound familiar, you're in the right place.

Who I Help

I work primarily with people who have spent years building wealth and now want to preserve it, and use it wisely. Many of my clients are close to or are already retired. They've accumulated substantial savings through retirement plans, investment accounts, and years of disciplined financial habits. Now they're looking for more than investment management—they're looking for a trusted advisor who can help them make smart decisions about retirement income, taxes, estate planning, investments, healthcare costs, charitable giving, and the countless financial choices that accompany life's major transitions.

Why I Choose This Profession

Long before I became a financial advisor, I understood how confusing—and sometimes unfair—the financial world could be.  My parents immigrated to this country seeking opportunity and a better future for our family. Like many immigrants, they worked incredibly hard but weren't always equipped to navigate an increasingly complex financial system. I watched them face situations where they were taken advantage of simply because they didn't know what questions to ask or who they could trust. I naturally felt a responsibility to help. Looking back, those experiences shaped not only my career but also my philosophy. They taught me that financial advice isn't really about markets or investment products—it's about protecting people, helping them avoid costly mistakes, and giving them the confidence to make informed decisions. That sense of responsibility continues to guide every client relationship I have today.

What I Believe

Every client has a unique story, different priorities, and a different definition of what financial success means. Before discussing investments, I want to understand what matters most to the people sitting across the table.  I also believe that one of the greatest threats to long-term financial success isn't market volatility—it's human behavior.  Fear causes investors to sell at precisely the wrong time.  Optimism tempts them to chase yesterday's winners.  Headlines encourage emotional decisions that often undermine years of careful planning.  I help clients recognize these emotional influences and remain disciplined when uncertainty inevitably arises. While none of us can control markets, we can control our planning, our process, and our decision-making.

My investment philosophy is grounded in diversification, disciplined portfolio management, evidence-based investing, prudent risk management, and maintaining a long-term perspective. I've found that confidence doesn't come from predicting the future—it comes from having a thoughtful plan and the discipline to follow it.

Experience you can rely on

I began my career in financial services in 1996 and served in leadership positions, including Vice President of Financial Planning for the Westchester office of a Fortune 500 financial services firm.  In 2003, I founded Anthony P. Longobucco Associates as an independent wealth management practice built around one simple idea: clients deserve objective advice, personalized service, and long-term relationships based on trust.  Today, I advise on more than $150 million in client assets for families, professionals, retirees, and business owners throughout the region. I earned my Bachelor of Business Administration from Fordham University and maintain the General Securities Principal (Series 24), General Securities Representative (Series 7), and Investment Adviser Representative (Series 66) registrations. I am also licensed in Life and Health Insurance in NY, NJ, and Connecticut.

Beyond the office

I'm a lifelong Westchester County resident and live in Yorktown Heights with my wife and our two children. Family has always been the foundation of my life, and it continues to shape how I work with clients. I understand that financial decisions are rarely just about numbers—they're about spouses, children, parents and the legacy we hope to leave behind.  One of the greatest privileges of this profession is being invited into those important conversations. It's a responsibility I never take lightly, and one I'm grateful for every day.

Let’s start the conversation

Whether you're approaching retirement, navigating a major life transition, or simply looking for a trusted second opinion, I'd welcome the opportunity to learn about your goals and determine whether we're the right fit for one another.
